Emma Watson lined up her first post `Harry Potter` role
The 20-year-old actress - who played Hermione Granger in all eight movies based on J.K. Rowling`s bestselling books - has landed a part in `My Week With Marilyn`.
Emma will play a wardrobe assistant named Lucy in the movie based on the memoirs of Colin Clark (Eddie Redmayne), who worked as Laurence Olivier`s assistant on the film `The Prince And The Showgirl` in 1956. The movie also starred Marilyn Monroe who Colin became obsessed with.
According to his book `The Prince, The Showgirl And Me`, Colin and Lucy enjoyed a few dates during filming.
Sources believe Emma - who is currently studying at Brown University in America - can shoot the scenes for her small part in a few days, limiting her time away from her studies. The deal is thought to be in the final stages of negotiation, Daily Mail columnist Baz Bamigboye reports.
The movie features a star studded line up including Michelle Williams - who will play Marilyn Monroe- Kenneth Branagh (Laurence Olivier), Dominic Cooper and Dame Judi Dench.
Simon Curtis will direct the film which is being produced by David Parfitt and the Weinstein Company.
The movie will begin shooting at Pinewood Studios in the UK on October 4.
